SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Please see the genre-specific guidelines below. We will be accepting poetry, fiction, creative non-fiction, and art submissions until 6 April 2025. Email your submission to: echolocationmag@gmail.com.
Please put your name and the genre you are submitting in the subject line of your email as follows: First name Last name [Poetry] OR First Name Last name [Prose], so that the email reaches the appropriate editor who will review your work.
Please use standard font sizes (11pt or 12pt) and standard serif fonts like Times New Roman or Garamond. The poems should be single-spaced unless they require special formatting.
We strongly encourage that you send along a short biography in the body of your submission email.
We aim to respond to all submissions within four months. We appreciate your patience.
We are able to offer a contributor’s copy and a modest honorarium for accepted work.
We only consider previously unpublished writing. We consider work posted on blogs or social media as published.
We encourage simultaneous submissions but please do let us know if your work is accepted elsewhere and withdraw it from consideration by sending an email to the same email chain as your submission.
We are happy to consider work that engages with different languages as long as the work is primarily in English.
We will not consider work that appears to us offensive or harmful or as promoting bigotry.
